Skyway Airlines celebrated the arrival of its third aircraft, SKYRACER 3.0, at Clark International Airport (CRK) on July 3, 2026. This milestone delivery, leased from World Star Aviation, expands the pure-cargo fleet and enhances CRK's capability as a premier air cargo and logistics gateway in the Philippines.
A Milestone for the Philippines' First All-Cargo Airline
The arrival of SKYRACER 3.0 marks a significant expansion for Skyway Airlines, which is the first Philippine-owned all-cargo airline . The new aircraft is a Boeing 737-400F freighter with an 18-tonne payload capacity . It will be based at Clark International Airport, supporting the carrier's domestic network that connects major hubs including Manila, Cebu, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro . The aircraft is part of a strategic partnership with World Star Aviation, which signed an agreement to deliver two aircraft to the airline . Skyway Airlines President and CEO Jose Peralta emphasized that this collaboration positions the airline as a key player in the Southeast Asian market while reinforcing the commitment to developing the Philippines as a premier cargo hub.
Strengthening Clark's Role as a Logistics Gateway
Skyway Airlines utilizes Clark as a key entry and exit point for cargo operations, supporting efforts to position the Philippines as a transshipment and cargo hub in Southeast Asia . Beyond domestic routes, the airline also serves international destinations across Asia, including Hong Kong, Macau, Bangkok, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Bangladesh . In February 2026, Skyway Airlines launched a dedicated cargo service connecting Clark to Guangzhou, China, marking its formal entry into the growing Philippines-China cargo corridor . The airline has also expressed interest in acquiring more Boeing 737-400Fs and eventually medium-sized widebody aircraft to further expand its capabilities . The growing cargo capacity at Clark translates into greater utilization of the airport and contributes to the region's economic development.
