ILOILO CITY – Filipino Homes is strengthening its presence in the Visayas, with the country's largest real estate network publicly acknowledging its ongoing collaboration with award-winning developer Wee Community Developers, Inc. (Weecomm) in the region. The acknowledgment, posted by Filipino Homes CEO Anthony Gerald O. Leuterio, signals active momentum between the two companies as they work on projects together in Iloilo.
Filipino Homes, founded by Leuterio in Cebu, has grown into one of the Philippines' most extensive real estate networks. From a modest 16-square-meter office, the company now operates over 100 branches nationwide with more than 14,000 accredited brokers and agents. The firm provides property listings, brokerage services, and marketing solutions, connecting buyers and sellers with over 600 partner developers and 1,000 projects across the country.
Leuterio, a Cebuano realtor, recently made history as the first Filipino to receive the 2024 International Realtor of the Year award from the US-based National Association of Realtors. He has built Filipino Homes around what he calls a "customer-first" approach, focusing on protecting investments and supporting clients throughout their homebuying journey and beyond.
On the other side of the partnership is Weecomm, a developer known for taking a different path in the real estate industry. Founded in 2008 by Cesar Wee Jr., the company emerged from Wee's decision to step outside his family's business and learn the trade from the ground up. Under the mentorship of industry veteran Gerry Choa, Wee spent five years working his way through every department, from credit and collection to distributing flyers, before launching his own company.
Today, Weecomm has completed or ongoing projects across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, with significant landholdings under development in Iloilo, including 43 hectares earmarked for residential communities. The company has received multiple industry awards, including Best Breakthrough Developer and Best Housing Development in Visayas for its Emerald Estates project in Iloilo.

What's happening in Iloilo
Weecomm's Iloilo operations are led by Carvin Choa, who serves as both Vice President for Finance and Area Head for the region. The company has ongoing projects in the area, including Southprime Flats and the second phase of Emerald Estate, with The Flats Mandurriao also in the pipeline
.
The Filipino Homes team being thanked in Leuterio's post works alongside Weecomm's local leadership, handling client services and project marketing in the region. Both companies have signaled that more projects are in motion, with Weecomm previously announcing plans to generate P10 billion in sales from each of its key regions, including Iloilo, by 2025.
For Weecomm, partnerships like this one with Filipino Homes fit a broader company philosophy. Wee has described his approach as welcoming "crazy ideas" and thinking beyond conventional real estate development. The company involves partners directly in projects, with an unusual mentorship program that trains family members of joint venture partners to serve as project directors, learning the business from the inside while their properties are developed.
Leuterio, for his part, has emphasized that real estate is about more than transactions. "Every house sold supports up to 60 families," he noted after receiving his international award, pointing to the broader economic impact of the industry. His company has positioned itself as a platform that prioritizes transparency and accessibility, with a particular focus on serving overseas Filipino workers who want to invest back home.
The partnership in Iloilo reflects both companies' strategies to expand their footprint outside Metro Manila. With Weecomm's land bank and development expertise paired with Filipino Homes' extensive sales network and broker force, the collaboration gives both firms a stronger position in one of the Visayas' key growth areas.
Leuterio's public acknowledgment of the team's energy and commitment suggests the partnership is moving forward at pace.
