MAKATI CITY — The Makati City government has disbursed a total of P741.47 million to Makati Life Medical Center for healthcare services delivered under the city’s Makati Health Plus Program, more widely known as the Yellow Card Program. City officials emphasized that ensuring continued access to quality healthcare remains a priority under the program.
Sustaining Access to Quality Healthcare
The mayor reaffirmed the local government's commitment to maintaining comprehensive healthcare benefits for residents through the Yellow Card Program. “As the city celebrates its 356th founding anniversary, I would like to assure Makati residents that the city government remains firmly committed to providing premium healthcare through continuous access to the comprehensive benefits of the Yellow Card,” Binay said. She also noted that Makati continues to allocate billions of pesos toward social development initiatives aimed at enhancing residents’ quality of life and supporting long-term sustainable growth. The city government added that future billings related to the program will continue to be reviewed, processed, and paid accordingly.
Ensuring Reliable Healthcare for Residents
The significant funding reflects the continued use and importance of the Yellow Card Program, which enables qualified Makati residents to access free or subsidized healthcare services. These benefits include medical consultations, laboratory examinations, hospital confinement, and medicines through accredited healthcare providers such as Makati Life Medical Center and Ospital ng Makati. By maintaining consistent financial support for the program, the city aims to ensure that residents, particularly those most in need, can receive essential healthcare services without facing substantial out-of-pocket expenses.
