Beyond the groundbreaking of the new Philippine General Hospital branch in Carmona, Cavite is experiencing a healthcare infrastructure boom with multiple hospital expansions and new medical facilities opening across the province.
Major Healthcare Players Expand Their Cavite Footprint
Metro Pacific Health Corporation (MPH), the country's largest private hospital group, has made significant strides in Cavite by expanding its network to 29 hospitals nationwide with its investment in Tanza Specialists Medical Center . This marks MPH's third hospital in the province of Cavite and its 18th provincial partnership, demonstrating strong confidence in the region's healthcare potential. Strategically located along Daang Amaya in Tanza, near the Antero Soriano Highway and at the crossroads of Tanza, General Trias, and Rosario, the facility is well-positioned to serve rapidly expanding communities .
The investment brings ambitious plans for expansion, including enhanced operational efficiency, elevated clinical standards, and improved patient experience through advanced technologies . With a combined capacity of 4,700 beds across its network, supported by 12,500 doctors and 24,000 healthcare staff serving approximately 5.2 million patients annually, Metro Pacific Health is bringing world-class healthcare standards to Cavite's doorstep.
A Network of Care for Every Caviteño
The healthcare boom extends beyond Tanza. The groundbreaking of the new Philippine General Hospital (PGH) branch in Carmona represents a landmark development as the first PGH facility outside Metro Manila . The 200-bed secondary care hospital is designed to serve both indigent and paying patients in the region, significantly reducing the need for Cavite residents to travel to the capital for complex medical care.
Construction is also advancing on the AUP Medical Center in Silang, which has received its Department of Health Permit to Construct and will operate as a large-scale Level 3 hospital with extensive emergency and hemodialysis facilities. These new facilities complement existing hospitals and infirmaries across Cavite's 23 municipalities and cities, which collectively serve a population of over 4.4 million . The provincial health office continues to launch preventive health programs focusing on maternal and child health, nutrition, and disease prevention, ensuring that Cavite's healthcare infrastructure growth is matched by community health promotion efforts. From dental missions to barangay-level health services, the province's comprehensive approach to healthcare ensures that progress reaches every community.
