DAVAO CITY — DoubleDragon Corp. is set to open the largest hotel in Mindanao, Hotel101-Davao, on July 30, 2026. The 519‑room property on Eco West Drive marks a significant milestone in the city’s real estate and tourism expansion.
A Landmark Opening for Davao
The 519‑room hotel will be the biggest hospitality establishment in Mindanao, surpassing existing properties by a wide margin. Its opening is expected to boost Davao’s capacity to host large conferences, events, and an increasing number of domestic and international visitors. The project underscores the city’s growing appeal as a business and leisure destination.
DoubleDragon said the hotel’s facilities include a full‑size swimming pool, a fitness gym, function and conference rooms, and a helipad. A concessionaire‑operated all‑day dining outlet, HBNB Kitchen, will serve guests. The property sits just a one‑minute walk from SM City Ecoland Davao, offering convenience to shoppers and travelers.
Strategic Location Drives Demand
The prime 5,384‑square‑meter site along Eco West Drive places the hotel near Davao’s commercial core and roughly 15 kilometers from Davao International Airport. Proximity to a major mall and transport hubs makes the hotel attractive to both business travelers and tourists. The location is expected to drive high occupancy rates from day one.
Hotel101-Davao forms part of a broader global expansion strategy. DoubleDragon aims to build one million uniform rooms across 100 countries, leveraging a standardized condotel model. The “HBNB” concept focuses on recurring revenue, efficient operations, and a tech‑driven booking platform.
Global Momentum Strengthens Davao Launch
The Davao opening comes amid a banner year for Hotel101. In March 2026, Hotel101‑Madrid debuted with 680 rooms and quickly achieved 100 percent occupancy on June 10, generating over €100,000 in single‑day revenue. The property has been designated the official hotel partner for the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix from 2026 to 2035.
Later this year, Hotel101‑Niseko in Hokkaido, Japan, with 482 rooms, will open in December. The 548‑room Hotel101‑Cebu will also welcome guests within 2026. Altogether, the brand will add 2,229 new rooms this year—the highest number in a single year in DoubleDragon’s history.
Real Estate Impact on Davao City
The entry of a major hotel brand of this scale signals strong investor confidence in Davao’s property market. It will create direct and indirect jobs, from hotel staff to suppliers and transport operators. The additional room inventory supports the city’s push to become a premier MICE destination in Mindanao.
