TAGUIG CITY – Just in time for Holy Week, the City of Taguig has opened two contemplative spaces designed for prayer, repentance, and spiritual renewal. The “Life of Christ” reflection sites, which welcomed visitors on Monday, March 30, offer a serene and culturally immersive experience for residents and tourists alike.

Located at TLC Park in Barangay Lower Bicutan and Taguig People’s Park in Barangay West Rembo. These sites feature 14 reflection panels depicting key moments in Christ's journey. At each station, a bench is provided for visitors offering space to rest and contemplate, turning the sites into more than just a place of worship, but a place of quiet meditation during the busy Lenten period.

During the opening, a dedication and walkthrough were held. Students from Taguig Science High School’s Sinag el Musika performed Fr. Jboy Gonzales’ arrangement of “Panunumpa,” while Ptr. Dominador Corpuz led the dedication and Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Hipolito blessed the stations and prayer corners.

For tourists and visitors looking to experience Filipino Lenten traditions, the sites offer a guided spiritual journey. Visitors are invited to start their spiritual journey at the Prayer Corner where they may offer candles and intentions, take a moment for quiet meditation. In the middle, there is a red cross that acts as a confessional where visitors may express their suffering and concerns on red paper that they nail into the cross representing penance and reconciliation. Beside it, is the Gratitude Corner where thanks can be written and hung.

Taguig 2nd District Rep. Jorge Daniel Bocobo invited families and friends to visit the sites during the solemn season.

“Let’s take this opportunity. Nais kong yayain ang ating mga pamilya at kaibigan na bumisita dito to take time and reflect on their lives and on the passion of the Lord. Pasalamatan natin ang Diyos para sa lahat ng biyayang natanggap, at isama natin sa dasal ang nararanasan natin—hindi lang sa ating siyudad kundi sa buong bansa at sa mundo—for peace.”

The “Life of Christ” sites are open daily from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM until April 4 (Black Saturday) . The Taguig City Government, through its Public Information Office, encourages the public to observe solemnity and take advantage of this unique spiritual attraction.
