MAKATI CITY — Since its soft opening in November 2023, Edoya has quickly become a standout addition to Makati's vibrant Little Tokyo dining enclave. Located at 2227 Fernando Street in Legazpi Village, within the Makati Central Square area, this spacious Japanese restaurant offers an extensive menu of traditional Japanese dishes prepared by Japanese chefs, alongside unique cultural touches that set it apart from neighboring establishments. With its warm wooden interiors, a striking torii gate centerpiece, and the in-house Chotto Matcha café, Edoya delivers an immersive dining experience that transports guests straight to Japan.

A Diverse Menu Rooted in Authenticity

Edoya's menu spans the full spectrum of Japanese cuisine, from sushi and sashimi to teppanyaki, ramen, and donburi. Standout offerings include the Rosu Tonkatsu, a deep-fried pork cutlet encased in a light, shatteringly crisp panko crust that local food critics frequently compare to specialized tonkatsu houses, and the Tantanmen, a spicy ramen with minced pork in a nutty sesame broth. Sushi lovers can explore creative rolls like the Firehouse Volcano and Spicy Double Salmon, while the yakitori selection, featuring Negima, Leva, and Sunagimo, is freshly grilled over charcoal, allowing the natural flavors of the meat to shine. For a unique twist, the Uni Tempura, deep-fried sea urchin wrapped in nori, offers adventurous diners something truly special . (Prices are subject to change without prior notice.)

Beyond the Plate: A Cultural Destination

What truly distinguishes Edoya is its commitment to offering more than just great food. The restaurant features a dedicated photo area with a torii gate and free kimono fittings, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in Japanese culture. Inside, Chotto Matcha serves authentic matcha-based drinks and desserts sourced directly from farms in the Shizuoka region of Japan, making it a sanctuary for purist green tea lovers. The spacious interior includes semi-private rooms on the mezzanine level accommodating 6 to 15 guests, ideal for gatherings and private events.
