PAMPANGA — Seven Kapampangan graduates secured spots in the Top 10 of the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LET), covering both Elementary and Secondary levels. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) administered the exams on March 15, 2026 across 41 testing centers nationwide . For a province long celebrated as the Culinary Capital of the Philippines, this academic feat adds a new badge of honor: a factory of top-tier educators.
This achievement highlights the quiet but determined excellence brewing inside provincial schools — places that don't always grab national headlines but consistently produce board-topping talent.
Mabalacat City College takes the lead in Elementary Level
The elementary level saw Mabalacat City College grabbing two of the highest ranks nationwide. Joda Mae D. Regala placed third with a 94.40 percent rating, while Eleina Jo Cuarte Cera landed fifth with 93.80 percent . The two graduates edged out thousands of examinees from bigger universities in Metro Manila and other regions.
Their success is no accident. The local government of Mabalacat City, through Mayor Geld Aquino, has steadily invested in scholarship programs and faculty development for the city college . The institution's deliberate focus on teacher training appears to be paying off, producing graduates who don't just pass the board but dominate it.
Pampanga State University delivers sheer volume and quality
Pampanga State University produced three topnotchers across both levels. In the elementary category, Mark Ivan G. Benedicto and Alenah Gem D. Naguit secured ranks seven and eight with 93.40 and 93.20 percent . For the secondary level, Alvin A. Cantero joined the list at rank nine with 93.40 percent.
Beyond individual honors, PamSU churned out 899 newly licensed teachers from the March 2026 exams . The university's elementary level passing rate of 73.10 percent crushed the national average of 56.08 percent, while its secondary rate of 87.79 percent similarly towered over the 73.14 percent national figure. The school also ranked seventh among top-performing institutions nationwide for the secondary level .
Angeles City's twin triumph in special needs and physical education
The City College of Angeles delivered two topnotchers from different specializations. Maureen Capili Cortez, a Bachelor of Special Needs Education graduate, secured rank seven in the elementary level with 93.40 percent . Alyan Jem Pangan Ramos, a Bachelor of Physical Education graduate, landed rank nine in the secondary level with the same rating.
Mayor Carmelo Lazatin II praised both graduates, noting how their success reflects the youth of Angeles City choosing education as a pathway to professional recognition . The twin victories also highlight how specialized programs — from special needs education to physical education — can produce board-topping talent when institutions commit to quality instruction.
