
TAGUIG CITY – The city successfully hosted of key activities for the 47th ASEAN Summit, welcoming regional leaders and delegates in back-to-back international gatherings held last March. Beyond the events hosted several other high-level meetings are scheduled to take place across the country throughout the year.
The city has, notably, prepared to host big assemblies of member states of ASEAN in 2026. One such meeting was the ASEAN Business Environment Forum (ABEF) 2026, held on March 11 at Bonifacio Global City (BGC). The purpose of the ABEF was to showcase ASEAN as a viable investment center for foreign investors. The other significant gathering was the 32nd ASEAN Economic Ministers’ (AEM) Retreat, which was conducted on March 13 at a hotel in the city.
