MAKATI CITY — On Saturday, June 20, 2026, the energetic center of Makati will come alive with the universal language of music as the 32nd Philippine edition of Fête de la Musique presents its much-awaited Main Stage at Ayala Triangle Gardens. Organized by the Alliance Française de Manille, the month-long festival once again turns communities across the country into a vast open-air concert venue, continuing its long-standing mission of making live music accessible to everyone, completely free of charge.
A Diverse Main Stage Lineup: A Fusion of French Flair and OPM Power
This year’s Main Stage highlights a rich exchange of cultures, bringing together internationally recognized French performers and some of the most celebrated names in Original Pilipino Music (OPM). Festivalgoers can experience the energetic “motorik” rhythms of French krautrock trio Meule, whose Asian tour includes a stop in Manila. Adding a unique and atmospheric element to the evening is French-Vietnamese electric harpist Héloïse La Harpe, known for her captivating performances. Leading the lineup are some of the country’s most prominent contemporary music acts. Fans can look forward to an exciting set from chart-topping pop-rock band Lola Amour, renowned for their dynamic stage presence. Sharing the spotlight are the legendary jazz-rock and spoken-word collective Radioactive Sago Project, acclaimed hip-hop group Morobeats, and the refined musical stylings of the Jewelmer Jazz Band. Together, these artists offer a diverse blend of genres designed to create an unforgettable experience for audiences.
An Immersive Weekend: Beyond the Main Stage
The celebration extends beyond the Main Stage performances. During the same weekend, visitors can explore the “Taste of France” French Market along Paseo de Roxas, featuring authentic French cuisine, wines, and artisanal products. The inaugural Main Stage also forms part of the broader Makati Street Meet and Makati City Fiesta festivities, transforming June 20 into a citywide celebration.
More Than Just One Day: A Month-Long Musical Journey
Fête de la Musique 2026 embraces its community-driven spirit with the theme “For the People, By the People,” spanning the entire month of June from June 10 to 29. Activities begin with “Music Heals” on June 10, a festival dedicated to sound healing and wellness.
Classical music enthusiasts will have the opportunity to watch award-winning French pianist Maxime Zecchini during two intimate recital performances on June 14 and 15 at Raffles Makati.
One of the festival’s most anticipated features is its Pocket Stages on June 26, where audiences can move between intimate venues across Makati and enjoy a wide variety of musical genres. From emo and indie to hip-hop and P-pop, these smaller stages offer something for every listener while providing a platform for emerging local artists to connect with audiences in a more personal setting. The month-long celebration concludes on June 29 with a closing performance by Manila-based jazz duo Project Yazz at the Long Bar of Raffles Makati.
A Nationwide Celebration of Community
Now celebrating its 32nd year, Fête de la Musique has evolved from a single-stage gathering into a nationwide cultural phenomenon. This year’s edition will feature dozens of stages across 34 locations throughout Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, reinforcing its reputation as the country’s largest free music festival and one of the most anticipated events on the cultural calendar. Whether you are a local resident or a visitor, the festival offers an opportunity to experience the energy, creativity, and vibrant tourism scene that Makati has to offer.
