MAKATI CITY — More than 1,500 job vacancies were offered during a job fair organized by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the Makati City Government in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati, and St. John Bosco Parish. Held at the Savio Dome, the event provided job seekers with direct access to both local and overseas employment opportunities through on-site applications and one-stop-shop employment services.
One-Stop-Shop Services for Applicants
In addition to recruitment activities, several government agencies joined the event to assist applicants with employment-related concerns and documentary requirements. Representatives from the Social Security System (SSS), PAG-IBIG Fund, PhilHealth, and other agencies were present on-site to help streamline the processing of applications and provide guidance to job seekers. City officials said the initiative forms part of Makati’s continuing efforts to generate employment opportunities and strengthen livelihood support for residents and workers from nearby communities.
Open to Residents and Non-Residents Alike
The job fair welcomed not only Makati residents but also applicants from neighboring areas, reflecting the city government’s inclusive approach to employment access. Through the one-stop-shop setup, applicants were able to complete interviews, submit requirements, and explore multiple career opportunities in a single venue. The partnership between the local government, educational institutions, and the parish also highlighted a collaborative and multi-sectoral effort to address unemployment and underemployment.
