MAKATI CITY — Coffee lovers, matcha enthusiasts, and mahjong players recently gathered in Makati for a unique community-centered event that combined café culture, social interaction, and lifestyle discoveries in one shared space.
Held on May 23 and 24, 2026, The Bago Haus’ Brew & Whisk Weekend transformed the Open Space at the YL Building along V.A. Rufino corner Salcedo Street into a vibrant venue filled with drinks, games, and local brands. The two-day event blended coffee and matcha culture with casual mahjong sessions, creating an atmosphere focused on connection, conversation, and discovering something “bago” or new.

Guests explored a curated selection of local merchants featuring coffee, matcha, fashion, accessories, food, and lifestyle products. More than a typical pop-up market, Brew & Whisk Weekend was designed as a cultural and social gathering space where attendees could step away from the fast pace of city life and enjoy an experience centered on creativity, relaxation, and shared interests.
Visitors were able to sign up for casual mahjong games through an online registration system, while interactive attractions such as the “Coffee vs. Matcha” voting wall and the “Build-Your-Own Bouquet” station added an engaging and hands-on element to the event. With 36 curated booths and a dedicated al fresco dining area, the gathering offered guests a laid-back yet immersive weekend experience in the heart of Makati.
