CAGAYAN DE ORO — The Department of Finance is set to host a major service caravan at SM CDO Downtown from June 29 to 30, 2026, featuring an expanded lineup of 16 government agencies. This walk-in event provides residents with a convenient venue to settle concerns with agencies such as SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and the LTO without requiring registration. It is a strategic effort to improve public service delivery by consolidating essential government transactions in one accessible mall-based location.
Mall-based service hubs simplify complex government agency transactions
By bringing 16 agencies together in one place, the government aims to reduce the burden on citizens who typically travel to separate offices. Participants can handle everything from TIN verification and tax assistance to civil registry and housing loan services. The inclusion of the Land Transportation Office’s theoretical driving course adds extra value for those seeking student permits.
Empowering local micro-enterprises through accessible financial support services
Beyond basic social services, the caravan offers specific support for small businesses and families of Overseas Filipino Workers. The Small Business Corporation will be available to assist with loan applications and franchising facilities, while major banks will showcase agricultural and MSME lending programs. This initiative directly supports the local economy by providing the necessary capital and administrative assistance to growing entrepreneurs.
