CAGAYAN DE ORO — The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) is officially beginning the search for the next generation of military leaders, with the first leg of the 2026 Entrance Examination (PMAEE) set for the Eastern Mindanao Cluster. Scheduled for July 11–12, 2026, this nationwide testing phase represents the first of five major regional clusters designed to identify qualified applicants who possess the integrity, physical fitness, and leadership potential required for admission into the prestigious institution. As the Academy prepares to welcome a new batch of cadets, applicants are reminded that this is the initial step toward a challenging yet rewarding career in service to the nation.
A Nationwide Testing Strategy
To ensure wide accessibility for applicants across the country, the PMAEE 2026 will be conducted in five distinct regional clusters throughout the coming months. The Eastern Mindanao leg will utilize seven strategic testing centers, including locations in Bayugan City, Cagayan de Oro City, Surigao City, Davao City, Mati City, Tagum City, and Digos City. Following this, the Academy will proceed to Western Mindanao (July 25–26), the Visayas (August 8–9), the NCR and Southern Luzon/Bicol (August 22–23), and finally, Central and Northern Luzon (September 5–6). This comprehensive schedule aims to accommodate thousands of interested youth while maintaining rigorous standards for testing administration and proctoring.
Essential Guidelines for Examinees
All prospective cadets are urged to strictly adhere to the requirements set by the Office of Cadet Recruitment and Admission (OCRA) to avoid disqualification on exam day. Applicants must bring their official examination permit, a valid ID, two No. 2 pencils, and a recent 2x2 photograph with a white background. Those arriving as walk-in applicants must present a complete set of documents, including a PSA-issued birth certificate and academic credentials such as Form 137 or Form 138. The Academy also emphasizes strict compliance with the prescribed attire—a white T-shirt, pants, and rubber shoes—and reminds all examinees to monitor the official Philippine Military Academy "Face-Bok" page and the official PMA website for any last-minute advisories or schedule changes.
